I am not a computer whiz and I cannot solve everyone's problem with this error code!!!!!

I had a problem with AADSTS50196 after setting up a new computer. I could not access anything M't. Through persistence and luck I accessed what appeared to be an old Microsoft acc't and I discovered that the phone# differed from the I entered when setting up my new computer. On that page was the option to delete my old # and enter the new # (texted codes, e-mailed codes, 2 password resets) which I did. My thoughts are that when the M't system was presented with conflicting data it rejected both because it could not determine which was true and which was not true.

I shared my success and deduction in the hope that it could give some insight to others in how to solve their own problem.

Microsoft doesn't know how to fix this except to recommend to clear the browser cache. I cleared the browser cache through Control Panel (better options) and ran disc cleanup to delete as many files as I could. If M't, who are responsible for W's and W's apps doesn't know how to fix this, how the hell am I supposed to know????

    Hello Greg-B_600,

I am a computer idiot & know nothing about a pc! I have taught myself everything including word & excel including forula's.

I thank you for your reply as the problem has returned & will not go away therefore I will give what you said a shot.

I despise microsoft & HP! Both are complete junk!!! The microsoft support are a bunch of idiots!!! So far every problem that I have had In had to fix on my own because they are absolutely no help whatsoever!!!!

They are all about $$$ & try to charge you $99. every time that you need help the last 2 times that I needed help I fixed the issue within 10 minutes.

I also despise MAC & Iphones however I may be switching to them because of the greedy-ness & incompetence of microsoft!!!!!
