Mouso core worker process

My computer (Windows 10, 64-bit Build 19041) is constantly waking up from sleep and then going back to sleep for a short time only to repeat the cycle.  I ran sleep diagnostics on the Windows PowerShell as administrator i.e. powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics.  The report from yesterday (5/31/2020) indicates that my computer awoke from sleep 50-55 times during the course of the day until at about 8:00 p.m., I decided that it was better to fully shut down the computer rather than have these continued cycles.  The common thread in all these awakenings from sleep is MoUSO Core Worker Process (MoUsoCoreWorker.exe).

 Why is this happening and what can I do to eliminate this totally annoying phenomena?

    Try using the Script Reset.  Not actually sure what this will do so use at your own risk.  https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Reset-Windows-Update-Agent-d824badc .  There is also other ways to fix Windows Update and this site may be of help https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/how-to-fix-windows-update-problems-in-windows-10/.  There was other ways to doing it as well but I can't find any information on that and I guess do to the fixes at the last link they no longer need to be done.

    Manually stopping and restarting the service as suggested messed up WU.  Everyone who did it will probably have the same issue.

    I set Windows Update Service to Automatic (it was manual), restarted it, and that got the WU to download and install the .net update.  The computer then slept.  Of course the .net update was not available on every computer even though all computers run the same version of Windows 10.

    Just checked WU and I see this, retrying gives the same error.  Obviously related to stopping the WU service.  So now my WU is messed up because of this.  MS sucks.

    "We could not complete the install because an update service was shutting down."

    Had the same problem.

    I checked for updates via Windows Update - it said - no new updates.

    I restarted the Windows Update service.

    I checked for updates via Windows Update again (2 min later), and now Windows Update finds new updates.

    It seems like windows update is stuck in a loop and thus the services keeps on staying alive. 

    I think that it probably fixed my problem. If anything new will happen, I'll update here.

    I doubt it solved the problem.  I did the same.  It works for a bit then the process will come right back and prevents sleep.  This has gone on for months already.
