I've read through this mega long thread, tested all possibilitys, including turning off the focus assist as stated by Orpicpixel as an answer to your request to summarize.

You should not forget to also turn off the automatic rules that apparantly are not disabled if you put focus assist to OFF

This works for people who have error 65 when switching to full screen video or games, but other instances of error 65 will still be visible.

since microsoft has no answer other than hiding the messages from your view, you are basically forced to accept this unstable system, until somebody at microsoft finds out what faulty interaction was created by the latest incarnations of windows 10....

Hi Prakhar - literally everyone who's posted on this thread, including the original post, is reporting problems with this error, including application crashes, blue-screen errors, and so forth.  There is not one single post here that says that this error is occurring in Event Viewer with no other effect on the PC.  Please continue to provide troubleshooting steps, or escalate this issue to someone who can.

    Thank you.

Hi Prakhar - as evidenced by the fact that 45 people (as of this posting) have cosigned on ProfessorCnile's original post, and half-dozen more have posted to confirm similar issues, more than a week of radio silence from Microsoft does not seem like a good approach here.  There are obviously quite a lot of people having this issue, and further assistance would be appreciated.  Or does Microsoft not intend to resolve this issue?

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you’re receiving Event ID 65 on your PC. I will certainly try my best to assist you with the issue.

For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions mentioned below:

    1.    Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?

    2.    Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?

    3.    When exactly do you see this error?

    4.    Do you face any issues when accessing applications or files?

I would suggest you to try booting the PC into Safe Mode and see if the PC crashes. Refer the article Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10

If you don’t face any issues in Safe Mode, then try booting the PC in Clean Boot and see if the PC crashes. Refer the article How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer. However, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.

If the PC is working fine after performing Clean Boot, then please refer the section How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean bootto identify the root cause of the issue.

Note: Please refer the section Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshootingto boot the computer in to normal mode after troubleshooting

In addition, you can try running System File Checker and DISM scan on the PC and see if that helps. Refer the article Using System File Checker in Windows 10

Let us know how it goes. If the issue persists, we will certainly assist you further.

    Regards,

    Prakhar Khare
