Win10 20H2 fixes the issue.

Previously when 2004 broke smb1, I rolled back.

There was no registry change or any other modification made to the system.  After Win10 20H2 upgrade was installed via Windows Updates;  SMB1 worked as it did before the upgrade.

Thank you Microsoft.

Hi again.. Hope you are having a great holiday season.

Thanks for the clarification. I have not tried your suggestion yet.

So considering I have 3  Windows 10 PC's I guess I need to do the same for all PC's?

Question for you - Before going through the steps you outlined, were you ever able to connect the your nas drive?  As I stated in my original post is that I can connect to my NAS when I reboot my PC, it's only when I power off any PC whether it be wirelessly or tethered.

    Is that your same issue?

    Thanks again Rick

Yes, it was the same issue, updating Win 1909 to 2004 and then 20H2, i lost access to the NAS drive "Z:" AFTER reboot, AND network sharing to the NAS.

When the PC is under 1909 version, deleting the drive connected before updating fixes the issue.

It should be done on every PC if a drive letter is connected. If not, the issue don't appear.

I am not reporting a fix. I believe there is an issue that Microsoft needs to look into.

I found a work around which is annoying
