Win10 20H2 fixes the issue.

Previously when 2004 broke smb1, I rolled back.

There was no registry change or any other modification made to the system.  After Win10 20H2 upgrade was installed via Windows Updates;  SMB1 worked as it did before the upgrade.

    Good, applying what is indicated in the registration key, does not solve the problem, after 2 or 3 restarts of the computer, the same happens again, the smbv1 resources cannot be accessed and the explorer.exe hangs constantly.

    SMB v1.

    That really isn't the point, I am not CSIRO, ADF, nor government. This is a personal file storage system.... nothing needs securing. Microsoft effectively set fire to my photo album.
