Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers

So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

Yes, it's back to Conexant drivers but no issues so far. As others have said, Conexant drivers would be an issue during the update but not afterwards.

Yes, on both of my Lenovo laptops. Both with no problem for a couple of months now.

Has the driver reverted back to the Conexant one?  Mine did, as I think others have reported, but it still works.

    Yes Tom,

I definitely had removed the connexent driver and had the "h.d.a.d." and blocking in place. I didn't wait for days though as I was getting pretty frustrated by this point in time!

I'm not sure if there is another problem causing the rollbacks, but have never had a BSOD when I try to manually update.

I dont know enough about Windows to ascertain that. All I know is that I'm not being offered the update and can't find a way around the block.

I have tried using the both the media creation tool and also the update assistant, both with the same results.

You have to get rid of any of your conexant drivers by installing the latest "high-definition-audio-device" by MS manually as described earlier in this threat and thereafter blocking the driver update as also described above.

Be sure, you have safely blocked your device by waiting a few days and restarts and check, that the conexant drivers are not installed again!

Then try as also described above.

I did so with success, however did not dare to remove the block until now. MS drivers are working fine enough for me.

PS: Are you sure, your conexant-drivers are the only problem? As you did not get a BSOD but "only" a rollback, you might have another problem on top? Thats why I updated with media creation tool and all austostarts and non-MS services deactivated...
