Site passwords are lost after each reboot since a recent windows 10 update.

I also have the problem of losing "all" my passwords including Adobe PS, MS Outlook pop email sign-ins, MS Windrive etc.

To the layman like myself, it would appear that the folders where these passwords are stored are being wiped on exit or as an alternative not being saved properly.  IE in a temp folder or similar.  

Hopefully, Windows' techs are aware of the problem and that it will be fixed.  

The cause was the 2004 update.  No problems prior to that.

Just to clarify, I have never used sync across any of my devices. While it's convenient, it raises concerns for me on many fronts. I do not consider enabling sync all of the time as a fix

DonT5, I took your suggestion of enabling sync and I saw a lot of my saved sites/passwords reappear. What was interesting was a select few that never came back. These were a few sites that I use multiple times a day every day. One of those is Facebook. 

So after I synced, I logged back into Facebook and verified that it was saved as expected. Later in the day when I opened chrome and went to Facebook, I had to log in again. So my statement about losing my passwords after rebooting needs to be updated to include random times after closing Chrome. And I triple-checked that I do not have 'Clear cookies and site data when you quit Chrome' turned on.

I'm really not worried about having to log back into all of the sites I had saved, I'm more concerned that they will still be there after closing Chrome or rebooting my machine. 

DonT5, I just wanted to make sure you know that I appreciate all of the suggestions and troubleshooting steps you have offered.

That's what I just did per DonT5 suggestion. It wiped out the few passwords that I had time to save prior to the change. 

Kevin try removing  Chrome altogether then reinstall it then sign in to you account. Sorry it wiped your passwords you had saved. Do you by chance have those passwords saved in Edge Chromium that you could import to Chrome. If so try that while you are signed in to Chrome with your Google Account with sync on.

Thanks DonT5. Appreciate your time and response. I will try this.  My only thing is I rarely log into my Google account and didn't have this issue prior to this update. Was hoping someone from Microsoft could address the issue and fix it.

I did not have the issue either until the update. It took some figuring out to know how to get them back and what they were up to. Good luck my friend.
