Received an update last week. Ever since then, I lose my saved passwords for all websites that I had set to be saved after rebooting my system. This only started after this most recent update.

    Hi,

I have to say that fixing the tasks (HP printer in my circumstances) worked for me.  This is a simpler "fix" if it works for you. You do have to do it twice, or at least I had to, to get that to work.

If that does not work for you then the new account solution should be your next "fix" to try.

Glad it worked for you guys.

I now have 20H2 installed and my machine is running with no problems.

Long may it continue.  Thanks to all who participated.  Hopefully this thread solved the issue for many.

Have a great festive season and stay safe.

I would agree with that given I am now on day four of not having to log in to all my software or browser.

I did have to switch off the "HP Printer" task twice but it seems to have worked.

Now installed the 20H2 and all good at the moment.

Did not want to speak too soon to say it had been resolved but like I said; so far so good.

Thanks to all who replied with suggestions etc.

By never checking for passwords, as suggested in Google article, you are just hiding the problem. Might be a workaround but not a fix.

I think I have found the fix, on a Chrome forum:

Having done this, everything seems nominal... for now, anyway. Certainly worth a try.

Will see how that goes tomorrow.  The task is showing as disabled, so I hope it will only take another reboot.
