Site passwords are lost after each reboot since a recent windows 10 update.

I'm SHOCKED that MS QA team did not test this BEFORE pushing out an update!!!  SMH MS

Has anyone installed V20H2 and if so did this resolve the password issue? 

I have installed 20H2 and whether it would have corrected it I do not know. The way my wife and I solved the password issue in Edge Chromium was to make new administrator profiles for our computers back in early August . Once we did that the password issue was solved in Edge. I do not know about Chrome as we do not use it and never will.

Thank god I found this thread. I've been going nuts with this problem since the 2004 update. The initial fix, as suggested by MS tech support, was to create a new profile. This worked for a month or so, but now I have to regularly:

Enter the passwords for my email accounts in Outlook (desktop), albeit not all of them every time 

Enable permissions for Microsoft to access Gmail to connect Outlook to that account 

Log into Creative Cloud

Log into my Google account every time I start Chrome 

Log in to OneDrive every time I restart my PC. 

Additionally, Outlook crashes randomly, making me log in to the accounts again, whilst also failing to fetch mail. This has continued through an uninstall to remove a corporate flavour and new of 365.

This does not happen on my partner's desktop, nor on my creaky old laptop. 

Hello my name is Don and like you I am a user. I have a HP omen Obelisk desktop and my wife has a HP Envy laptop. I made our new local admin profiles back in the first week of August and we used the same MS accounts we had for a few years now. Any MS update that comes out we install them and that includes optional ones like from Intel and HP and NVIDIA and Realtek. We keep up with HP updates that are offered to us in HP Support Assistant App. Our passwords in Edge are still visible without having to sign in to my MS account and after restarting our computers.  Personally I do not like the idea of having to sign in to Chrome with my Google account so they can see and store my browsing habits so I uninstalled it for that and it is a memory hog. I have no use for Chrome as one chromium browser is enough for me and I rarely use Edge.  My default browser is Firefox and I use IceDragon 64Bit as my backup and I also use TOR and I never had trouble with either of them since updating to 2004. Now as far as Outlook and OneDrive I deleted those back in August. If I want to use one of my email accounts I go to the account  and sign as I do not need nor want Outlook for my email. There are plenty of email accounts that are better and more secure than Outlook. OneDrive to me is a headache and it causes more trouble that it is worth with it's piddly little amount of storage and if you want more to have to buy it. We have Norton 360 and it gives us 50 GB of free storage if we want it but we use Thumb Drives for our weekly backups of personal data  and we use External Hard-drives for our monthly complete system backups. We also have Sync Settings turned on in Accounts in Settings. I unlinked OneDrive from our computers and uninstalled it. We do not use MS 365 as when we bought our computers we also each purchased Office Home and Student and it is good to install on two more computers each and it updated regularly.

Well anyway this is what I have done and our computers are running great. I am not saying that is what you should do as each user's personal tastes and needs are different  and each computer is different but I only said what has worked best for us. We installed the new updates today from MS and it went great and we have not seen any problems and now we are waiting on the new 20H2 update. I hope you get things worked out.

Hi David,

I realised that as well so first signed in to Youtube or Google whilst in the Chrome browsers.  The annoying thing is that is ok for a few days then reverts to wiping all my passwords.  This also includes things like Adobe and other software on my PC.  Plugins within my video editing software for example.  Most of my passwords are two-step verification so I have to leave my phone on as well to acknowledge that it really is me logging in.

Please MS get it fixed.
