Site passwords are lost after each reboot since a recent windows 10 update.

Received an update last week. Ever since then, I lose my saved passwords for all websites that I had set to be saved after rebooting my system. This only started after this most recent update.

This is what I and others have discovered since updating to Version 2004. What you need to do is sign in to Google Chrome with your Google Account. I think once you do that and turn on Sync you will see your saved passwords. If you want to use Edge Chromium you will need to do the same thing. Personally I use Firefox as my default and I used Chrome and Edge Chromium as my backups if I needed them but now since the change I have completely removed Google Chrome from my computer and I have moved Edge off my Taskbar back to Start. I have downloaded Ice Dragon 64 bit as my backup as it is based on Firefox platform and I still have my Firefox as my default. I do not like the idea of having to sign in to my MS account or Google account to see my bookmarks and saved passwords and for them to see and track what I am doing on the web and for them to gather information on me. This is what I do and how I feel but it is up to you as a user to decide what is best.

I have had this for months. It happens to most things requiring a password every time I reboot. Not just chrome. Abode, emails etc..

Hello I am an independent advisor for the Microsoft community. We will need more information from you to help diagnose your issue. What browser are you using? What version of the browser is it?

I suspect that the setting to clear your cookies and passwords when you exit the browser has been set by accident.

Regret to say that did not work for me.  Great to hear that is solved your problem.  Will keep trying to find a solution.

I'm not sure this is the answer:  but it seemed like it took 2 reboots and then checking again to make sure the scheduled task was disabled.  It was almost as if the scheduled task was already scheduled after I first disabled. 

VERY frustrating problem to have to keep re-entering Chrome and Windows and OneDrive, Twitter, etc. passwords.  I avoid rebooting or powering off at night now.

Thanks DonT5. Appreciate your time and response. I will try this.  My only thing is I rarely log into my Google account and didn't have this issue prior to this update. Was hoping someone from Microsoft could address the issue and fix it.
