Restart

When I restart my PC all of my files are gone.

Microsoft Windows 10

Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.9959)

I'm using a Patriot Scorch M2 SSD 523GB for my Windows boot drive.

I tried using the System File Checker tool.

DISM.exe/Online/Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe/Online/Cleanup-image/Restorehealth

But when I do

DISM.exe/Online/Cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

It gave me an error

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

    If I select UEFI in BIOS mode does it mean I already disabled CSM?

    Hi vasteofilo

    From reading about your motherboard, the settings are, disable CSM, then disable Secure Boot and set the boot priority to that USB, then begin the installation and after the initial restart, once the files are copied over, the installation should proceed, it is only at the end of the installation that the boot priority needs to be reverted to the internal drive . . ..

    Can you please provide the Make and exact Model No. of your PC, or if that is a self build, the exact Model No. of your motherboard, so I can find the correct settings to boot form USB on that BIOS version for you . . .
