I can see it being removed IF you haven't downloaded the update. But this isn't the case for the majority of people. Because most people have in fact dowonloaded it, including me. The very creation of this thread was to report an INSTALLATION error which subsequently means, that the people complaining have downloaded it. So, this isn't a fix. But it could be if you do a Windows 10 restore. Maybe, i think. I'm not gonna try it, because i'm too annoyed about this whole installation error at this point. Microsoft who created this mess, let them solve it. I do give them credit thought, this is the first time in years that i receive an error update.

They want you to increase what you have by default, 563MB, up 250MB more. I just increased mine to 1000 MB. If your partition is on the front, you'll end up deleting that, shrink you primary partition by 1000MB, then add the new recover partition. This is a horrible fix to go through but it did work for me. Jeff

We have 6 windows 10 laptops in the house. The only 2 this installs on are the two laptops that do not qualify for Windows 11. The cynic in me does wonder if this if this is relevant.... My failure is on a desktop PC that does not qualify for Windows 11. It is otherwise up to date on 22H2 through the 2024-01 Cumulative Update. Disk 0 is a 3 TB SATA drive for data files and a 256 GB SSD with a 534 MB Recovery Partition, 110 GB EFI Partition, and the Boot partition of 231.7 GB with 40 GB free space. I should add that the 534 MB Recovery Partition is 100% free. The SSD was replaced a few years back and an image of the EFI and Boot partitions were restored to the new SSD. So, I don't think I actually have a WinRE partition to update. It seems that this update is lacking...

Offset Partition 1 Primary 100 Mb 1024 Kb Partition 2 Primary 465 Gb 101 Mb Partition 3 Recovery 563 Mb 465 Gb The only difference (with respect to the Article linked above) is that mine is 563 MB "type Recovery" while the article talks about a "primary" 250 MB big.
