Good morning to all, I waited to see if Microsoft was going to fix the update issue with the undersize WinRE partition > no was the answer! I saw a lot of smart folks trying to help with long drawn-out multi-step fixes & most folks were afraid of damaging their own systems. So, I used a very popular partition software that's free for the basic version called " AOMEI partition assistant ". shrink the C Partition 250 mb & expand the recovery partition, let the software do its thing / reboot and it's fixed! THAT'S ALL FOLKS!

Couldn't MS do this to its users automatically without having to do it manually for non-technical users? :/

2024-03-01T20:03:59+00:00 Just go to Microsoft to the search bar and type in
Manually resizing WinRE partition in windows and follow the instructions there
Instead of 250 MB as they suggest use something like 2000 mb
It took me several times of doing it to get it right
