I suggest following the steps I took to bypass this KB installation. I posted the procedure on January 18 (on page 15 of this issue's message thread). It's a long post - you can't miss it.

I also took the time to answer someone's questions about the January 18 procedure. Those answers (another long response) were posted on January 22 (on page 22 of this thread).

To be clear, following that procedure doesn't "fix" the problems with KB503441. It just deletes the download from your system so that it doesn't repeatedly attempt to install it, and the second step "hides" KB5034441 so that the Windows Update process ignores trying to download it again.

    Good luck!

Sorry to hear that. I gess it is hit or miss. After using the media creator, and doing the ISO using the repair. Maybe running DISM and SFC scan might help. I am just guessing and it is a PITA going through all the steps and not getting any satisfaction. So far my kids computer is running ok. But I cross my fingers when a new update starts to install.

This issue persists even after the latest feature updates that were successfully installed yesterday.

It's more than ironic that Microsoft cannot timely provide a security update as they have been hacked themselves. I will continue to wait for Microsoft to address this issue that has now persisted. every day since January 10.
