In my case resizing the recovery partition to 750 MB resolved the issue. I used AOMEI Partition Assistant software. First, I added a new 250MB partition of unallocated space to my disk C: and then I resized my existing 500MB RE partition to 750MB. That's all.

    Nothing is working. Help!

I just run my wushowhide.diagcab file & told it to ignore the update completely, error message gone, problem solved, now just says " windows is upto date " when I click update, no one should have to mess about with their partion sizes just for a stupid security update, they should release a fix at some point as it's effecting a lot of users.

The 250 is the amount that you have to shrink the OS partition so that the Recovery partition can expand by 250. I had 500 MB in my original recovery partition, it was not enough, I went to 1 GB and the update loaded.

My computer DOES NOT HAVE such partition. What are you trying to update? Why can't you check that RE is not installed due to luck of partition???
