I have an issue where today (Jan 16,2024) in the taskbar search bar it either double types every character or doesn't at all. This is not just isolated to the search bar, when attempting to utilize any MS Win app feature that requires typing of any sort such as logging in to manage email accounts, Task Manager, Add or Remove Programs, etc. It all behaves the same way. I have tried many different options to include restarts, restarting the SearchBar, restarting Explorer, Uninstalling and Reinstalling my Keyboard and Mouse, changed the repeating character speed, etc. This doesn't happen in any other program which is evident in this question submission. I should add it also doesn't happen in MS Office software, or even when I go to Control Panel and test the repeating character text box. It's very odd that it specifically is happening to only certain features of which I use often. I'm not sure what else to try. I'd rather not have to clean wipe/clean install my OS to fix this issue.

2024-01-30T21:04:18+00:00 I have the same issue since Jan 17. I'm currently downloading the Windows 11 22H2 update. I will let you know if that solves the issue. I'm running Windows 11 Pro with the 21H2 version on a HP Elitebook 850.

2024-01-30T12:38:01+00:00 Stewie, I finally resolved this yesterday, went into settings, Windows Update, and Get help down the bottom. Got put onto a Microsoft technician, who remotely fixed this. Didn't need to update Windows 11 but there were several things in the background of Windows that were not allowing updates etc. First person tried to install 22H2 but after he left it didn't work, so the second looked further at the problem.... Hopefully they have this recorded as an issue to fix now
can you please advices to the setup to solve the issue because i can't connect MS support so please help to the setup windows 11 Pro version 21H2

Unable to upgrade to Windows 22H2 as no TPM on Dell Inspiron P143G
Tried running C:\Windows\system32\ctfmon.exe - no difference
