Asphalt 9 app also stopped working after 23rd Windows update, which is not a Microsoft app. Crash log says because of CONCRT140_APP.dll. On 2 computers:

core i5-1135G7, windows 11: microsoft apps work but other store apps like Asphalt 9 stopped working after 23rd update

core2duo E8400, windows 10: most apps stopped working

It's got to be related to legacy CPUs. Mine is Core 2 quad Q8300. Like you, sfc /scannow didn't find any issues. My apps crash problem started on Jan 25. No problems before that day. Another PC at the office runs Win 10 Pro with 4th gen i5 CPU and up to date with patches. No apps crash.

    Corrupt System Files:

Disk scans indicate there is no SSD file corruption. SSD health status show no errors. CHKDSK indicates nothing's wrong.

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth **** didn't help.

sfc /scannow didn't find anything wrong.

THE LAST .NET FRAMEWORK. NET MUST BE CORRUPT !

I may be confused by your usage of the word, "corrupt". My files on my drive(s) aren't damaged. There's no bad sectors either.

While a .NET Framework update could cause problems, the files I have are the same ones that run fine on other PCs. My drives aren't damaged.

Do you mean my files are damaged, and that I have corrupt sectors on my drives?

.Net Framework file versions are exactly the same as on other PCs that run these apps perfectly fine.

No PC using an Intel Core 2 CPU can run these apps after the latest app updates.

Refer to Samuel_420's post from the other thread:

I can definitively state that the problem is with Core 2.

I cloned the SSD with non-functional applications to the HDD.

Put the HDD in the newer Xeon W3565 machine and the applications started working.
Offline of course to exclude background update.

    Image

What's the difference between Intel Core 2 CPUs and this Xeon W3565 CPU? Xeon W3565 supports SSE4.2, for one. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/39721/intel-xeon-processor-w3565-8m-cache-3-20-ghz-4-80-gts-intel-qpi/specifications.html

But I don't know what's going on for sure.

have corrupt system files or some modules missing, some Windows components might crash and cause

    issues with the system.

A specific application crashing: Another cause why you experience the error message is because a specific application is crashing on your computer. You can diagnose which one by either looking at the file path

in the event or doing a clean boot.

Badly installed .NET Framework: .NET framework is used by numerous different applications and by

Windows itself for its operations. If the framework is badly installed or has corrupt files, you will see the

Event ID 1000 in the event logs.

THE LAST .NET FRAMEWORK. NET MUST BE CORRUPT !

Thank you Microsoft  for corruption of windows 10 it's like a virus now all Microsoft apps crashing when

     starting up.

COMPUTER was fine until last .NET framework update.
