Camera Doesn't Work on Windows 11

I had struggled with my camera, and have watched here for several months for a solution, and thought I had done all that was possible. I even bought a webcam as my solution. However, getting frustrated that we all have the same question but no answers, and although I had previously gone here, today I did go to a previously recommended page at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/camera-doesn-t-work-in-windows-32adb016-b29c-a928-0073-53d31da0dad5.  I was pleasantly surprised to get my camera up and working again - Unknown to me there was a switch at my camera - and I had gotten it shut off. Obvious User Error - but if I hadn't been committed to following instructions "one more time" I wouldn't have been looking for the switch. And I still didn't see it until I felt for it - a small textured switch just above the camera in the laptop - give it a try. I can't offer advice for solutions, but I can encourage you to be sure to check out that page.

I have 2 devices, one is a surface laptop studio and the front facing caamera works fine but my older Surface Studio desktop which also only has the front facing camera is the one with the issue. It now works for me to use Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Skype, however the camera app does not work and displays an image at 90 degrees. Initially it did not work at all and it took a full reset of my computer to get to this stage.

If you are not experienced at resetting your computer and retrieving backups I would advise you contact Microsoft Support to help you.

They were unable to help me to deal with the camera app failure on the Surface Studio to the age of the machine.
