I have been having this error for a long time now, it keeps saying "retry"after i click on it. Anyone know how to fix it?

I googled the actual KB and found this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/kb5034441-windows-recovery-environment-update-for-windows-10-version-21h2-and-22h2-january-9-2024-62c04204-aaa5-4fee-a02a-2fdea17075a8. It seems that it updates the Windows Recovery (WinRE) environment, and the tip about resizing the partition for that is valid. You can find the link to the instructions in the KB article I linked.
I did that and the installation passed.
is this update really needed/ crucial? cuz it seems like alot of effort to bypass. as long as i can play my games in peace and continue to use my pc forget this update. let microsoft do their job for once and fix this..
I resized my recovery partition to 1GB.
Update still fails to install with same error.
Believe it or not, this issue is not only occurring on Windows 10/11 computers, but on Server 2022, as well! It's a different KB number, KB5034439, for the server update, but it's doing the same thing with the Windows Recovery partition. This is happening not only on in-house servers, but VM's hosted in Azure as well.
I sure as heck don't want to go around having to muck with partition sizes on my active production servers. That is definitely NOT a good solution.
Nah. He took about 5 minutes to say reboot and try to install it on it's own. It doesn't work.
