I finally got mine to work (support were not helpful and I never heard back from the escalation team).
Only thing you can do is wait 7 days without trying to set up a phone number. Then the block will lift.
How to fix the "That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method" screen.

I was trying to get my phone number off my old account that my brother was using, but every time I try to add my phone number its keep saying "That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method", and the tab says "Blocked", and at first I thought my account was block [for Some reason], but I could still sign in, Then i tryed to refresh a few times. but that also didnt work, and the thing is I can put the phone number, back on the other account, but not on the other one i'm trying to get it on.

I want to use specifically my phone number as vertification method in order to claim my microsoft reward but it always said that "try different vertfication method" and that i'm blocked, I tried checking up onto it and tried using all the previous advices you gave to everyone else but still can't add my phone number to it.
Can you give better advice and help to my problem.

2024-07-24T12:08:08+00:00 I got a solution, pretty dumb, but works: simply use from bing (or google, I think) on your phone... It works for some reason, at least, it worked for me
