How to fix the "That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method" screen.

I was trying to get my phone number off my old account that my brother was using, but every time I try to add my phone number its keep saying "That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method", and the tab says "Blocked", and at first I thought my account was block [for Some reason], but I could still sign in, Then i tryed to refresh a few times. but that also didnt work, and the thing is I can put the phone number, back on the other account, but not on the other one i'm trying to get it on.

I had the same issue with the tab saying "Blocked", this happens when you try too many times to update the verification method which ends up blocking only that method.

Speaking with a support representative I was told that the account can take from 24 hours up to 5 days to get unblocked, as this is automatically handle by their servers, there is no way for them to unblock it manually.

For me waiting one week did the trick, after that time I was able to add my phone as verification method, so if wanna wait and try afterwards, ensure that your phone is not in any other account and you shouldn't have any issue.

Same until now. Microsoft need this to be fixed or we cannot redeem any points.

Sigo con el mismo problema de verificacion,intente muchas cosas de lo que dice en la pagina de microsoft y sigue igual llevo 2 dias esperando para canjear mi recompensa,probe con numeros no vinculados a cuentas de microsoft,y pobre con correos reiniciando cockies,archivos de favoritos,y nada,que puedo hacer?,Estoy desesperado
