How to fix the "That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method" screen.

I was trying to get my phone number off my old account that my brother was using, but every time I try to add my phone number its keep saying "That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method", and the tab says "Blocked", and at first I thought my account was block [for Some reason], but I could still sign in, Then i tryed to refresh a few times. but that also didnt work, and the thing is I can put the phone number, back on the other account, but not on the other one i'm trying to get it on.

This exact thing happened to me when I tried to redeem my Microsoft rewards. When I tried to redeem the points it said that I need to have a phone number as an alias but it said that verification method isn’t worth no right now. What do I do?

I did everything to put my phone number and still it says "TRY ANOTHER VERIFICATION METHOD" every time I TRIED TO PUT MY PHONE NUMBER, I thought that the reason might be related to the place where I live, I really want a solution to this problem that facing all, as for some say that Microsoft rewards is a completely scam and they want it to appear as if there is a problem with our accounts :/
