Security Update KB5034441 for Windows 10 Ver. 22H2 will not install.

Thank you so much Microsoft as you have started the New Year off with bang with this update failure below on the first patch Tuesday of the year:

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8024200B: 2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441).

Tried multiple times to install this brick but no luck on my OMEN desktop and my wife's Envy laptop. So now what Microsoft?

    Thank you Judy. Seems to be a problem with where the WinRE Partition is located. Older HD's seem to put it on Partition 1 while SSD's on Partition 3. This would account for the error message pointing to not enough room on the WinRE Partition and why some can install it no problem and others can't. It seemed to me the common denominator with those having issues is they all have an SSD in their systems. An MS tech seemed to think I was on to something. I do not know if I am right or wrong on my analysis of this issue. Let me know what you think.

    One would think they would have kept this in mind when writing the code and to have it scan for the proper Partition containing the WinRE.

    This issue on my end in AU seems to be fixed now.

    I have found that it is now installed on my SSD.

    Dated: Installed on the 29/01/24.

    May be worth running Check for Updates.

    All my apps are also back up and running.

    The real irony here is that the only ppl actually feeling this pain are the businesses who are still using windows 10 because they dont want to spend unessecary money on new upgrades. So congrats Microsoft, your just pissing off your business clients.

    Due to the time and effort we have all gone through and the damage done to some of our PCs, has anyone considered starting a Class Action Suit against Microsoft? While the information is front and center, now might be the time as it does not appear Microsoft is going to do anything except continue to put us through the hoops!
