Forget this17 Feb "solution" - after it, Sudoku was working fine until 17 March and then it once again just stopped saving any Daily Challenge acheivements.

I have tried the "solution" again, and all other recommendations (uninstall - reinstall / wsreset.exe / resetting Sudoku from 'Apps' / deleting Tokenbroker Account and cache files / running Store and App Troubleshooters / Install Xbox, and then using Xbox to install a fresh MS Sudoku download / etc etc

And throughout all this, MS Solitaire and Mahjong have remained working without a problem!

So I will now GIVE UP with MS SukDodu - I just do not want to waster any more time on it.

Exactly as I did with Minsweeper many years ago.

If Microsoft can't be bothered to fix it, I can't be bothered to play it.

    Over and out

First time I have EVER experienced this issue. Everything was fine until 01/02/2024. I am showing as being logged in but the daily challenges are not saving when complete. I have reset the app, even uninstalled and reinstalled the game (lost all my completed daily challenges) but the problem persists. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

Your progress is saved on your account, repairing and resetting the Sudoku app will re-sync the information from your account to your computer and will fix the problem.

1-Click on Start then click on Settings

    2-Click on Apps

3-Search for the Microsoft Sudoku and click on that

4-Click on the "Advanced options" or "Modify" button

5-Scroll down, then click on the "Repair" and "Reset" button

6-Relaunch the Sodoku app, log in with your account and your progress should show correctly

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.

I have the same issue showing up Jan 31st as well due to a sync issue:

Note that I was signed in with my full level visible at the time of the error, but now I am stuck at Level 1 and as a Guest as others have stated, with no ability to log in. Clicking on the LEVEL 1 Guest icon briefly brings up the Xbox splash screen and the game reloads, but otherwise doesn't change anything. In addition, repairing, resetting and uninstalling/reinstalling the app make no difference.

Interestingly, the app still shows that there are no ads, which means it's a paid subscription! This is happening with the current version of the app, which is 2.9.1221.0

After lots of testing, I found that I was able to sign in on my laptop and even though I got the same sync error message there, I was able to proceed and finish the Jan 31 games and complete the month on that device.

I then tried backing up the temp data from the laptop and overwriting the bad data on my desktop (stored in the C:\Users{user name}\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftSudoku_8wekyb3d8bbwe folder), but that hasn't resolved the issue either, even though that has always solved snyc issues for me in the past.

This is something brand new, and it's limited to a single machine. The only good news is that it's my account and the actual cloud data seem to be OK, and if you can log in on another device you might be able to keep playing while retaining all previous progress.
