Windows update (KB5034441) Error (0x80070643)

When I tried to install the windows update "2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441)" I received the error code (0x80070643).

I have already tried, restarting my computer, waiting a bit before retrying, running a memory diagnostic check, checking all my drivers for updates, installing optional updates, and running a malware scan.

When I tried to run the windows update troubleshooter it said "diagnosing problems" but never fixed them and I was still unable to install the update after running the trouble shooter.

Any help would be appreciated.

After the update I performed the operation again. Deleted both "spare" and recovery partition. Extended my main one with the unallocated one from the last recovery. Created the new recovery in the old space again. All works for me.

Maybe the trick is not to use third party software for moving partitions around your disk?

Well, I just tried it and it worked. I have removed the original recovery partition and just allocated the space for another drive. The new recovery partition had no choice but to be at the end, 1GB in my case. The update went straight away, few seconds.

EDIT: I think with this update on, I could delete the recovery again and allocate it in the initial position to the left, I reckon it will work.

For everyone who is failing at this tutorial

This tutorial only works if your Recovery partition is your last partition. If it isn't last, it won't work because of the below rule:

With DiskPart, you can extend a partition only when the location of the unallocated space is right behind it.

Fiddling with this tutorial otherwise will result in 250MB of unallocated space, see below (Disk Management)

Ocorreram alguns problemas ao instalar atualizações, mas voltaremos a tentar mais tarde. Caso continue a ver esta mensagem e pretenda procurar informações na Web ou contactar o suporte, isto pode ajudar: (0x80070643)
