When I tried to install the windows update "2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441)" I received the error code (0x80070643).
I have already tried, restarting my computer, waiting a bit before retrying, running a memory diagnostic check, checking all my drivers for updates, installing optional updates, and running a malware scan.
When I tried to run the windows update troubleshooter it said "diagnosing problems" but never fixed them and I was still unable to install the update after running the trouble shooter.
Any help would be appreciated.

After the update failure of 1/29 on my W10 pro computers, I did download and run wushowhide.diagcab on 2/2 on my main computer. It found nothing to do. When looking at the Update History page, I see no evidence of the failed update. It's all gone.
I finally got around to looking at diskmgmt this morning. I still have a 498 mb recovery partition and a 100 mb EFI system partition on my Samsung SSD main drive.
Meanwhile, updates are paused until 3/4 on all computers.
It seems Microsoft would like you to get a PC with Windows 11 OS. No Win 11 PC's I have displayed this error. It seems this issue is only on older Win 10 MBR HD's. These have been upgraded from earlier Windows to Win 10, I am not sure if that has anything to do with this. If this is really about the WinRE Partition, then it might be necessary to do a full Windows recovery. It is somewhat tricky to add space to the beginning and end of a multi-partitioned drive. I may just do this to a PC for fun and see if it resolves the issue. Will go to a GPT drive / install which is available on some higher-end older PCs.
The reason Microsoft's not fixing this is because quite frankly... they just don't care. It's sad to say but, we know it's true. So the ultimate fix is the next time you need a new computer by a Mac.
And many of us are sitting here with company-issued devices on which we dare not fiddle with partition sizes. All we can do is file a ticket with our IT helpdesks asking how to proceed, and otherwise simply wait for a Microsoft fix that is approved by our IT department. I can imagine Microsoft doing a fix that just makes the machine forget about and quit asking for the faulty update, makes sure other updates can happen normally, and on we go. No, I'm not holding my breath on that, but I do have little option but to wait for a fix.
