Windows update (KB5034441) Error (0x80070643)

When I tried to install the windows update "2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441)" I received the error code (0x80070643).

I have already tried, restarting my computer, waiting a bit before retrying, running a memory diagnostic check, checking all my drivers for updates, installing optional updates, and running a malware scan.

When I tried to run the windows update troubleshooter it said "diagnosing problems" but never fixed them and I was still unable to install the update after running the trouble shooter.

Any help would be appreciated.

This was very helpful for me and it worked on the old PC on which I tried it. I did have to adjust the Recovery Partition number as I had an extra Partition for some unknown reason, but it wasn't hard to understand the intent of your directions and adjust accordingly. I wasn't sure that my disk was MBR, but the Recovery Partition id=27, so I assumed it was.

My only other computer withthis problem has an SSD. I had seen some posts that seemed to say that those may involve additional issues, so I have not attempted to fix it. On it, I turned off bit locker, and may just wait until I upgrade to Windows 11.

Mine didn't update either. I've had it with Microsoft consistently dropping the ball on these things. When they cease updates for Windows 10, I'm buying a Mac. Apple doesn't have these issues.

Glad you and Volume Z got the darn thing to work. Unfortunately, mine didn't. Back to hiding the update.

had the same experience ! ...issue also gone on my Win10-home-64b PC, and as stated 2months earlier above, was similarly solved with a regular update on Win10-Pro-64b.
