I read an article on MSN news and I want to share it on FaceBook. I get this error message and I have no idea what it means. I have shared from MSN for years and now get this:
App Not Setup: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permission.
Now how do I resolve this?

Your computer has been restarted since the problem began?
I just shared an article with Edge, Chrome and Firefox, so the problem isn't affecting everyone.
Try clearing the Chrome cache. [Ctrl+Alt+Del] > clear cached images and files.
If you're running an ad blocker, try disabling it.
If running third-party antivirus or other security program(s) see if disabling them affects the situation.

JoLewis, That's what I've been doing too. Another way is copy and paste. Copy the URL on the article's address bar and paste it as a post on your Facebook page. :)
Good Morning JudiWilkes: Since MSN could care less about our issues with them, I have found a way around their problem. If I find an article on MSN that I want to share to Facebook, I move my cursor to the reporting site name, usually on the top left of the article, then right click it. Click on 'Open in new tab'. It will take you to the site. You may have to scroll through a dozen or more articles until you find the one you want. Once you do, click the share to Facebook option. This has worked for me every time. A hassle, but better than nothing. Hope this helps. Enjoy your holiday and stay safe and well. Peace and blessings, Jo
This has been happening for so long now that I have given up on even trying. None of the so called "remedies" on this help page have helped. I have tried contacting Microsoft about the problem but last time I tried they are not even taking calls?! If my computer wasn't only a year old I would get a new computer that does NOT run on Microsoft! This has been a frustrating and quite honestly, angering experience to say the least. Others, including myself would love to find another news outlet to be able to share news articles but have not found one as well rounded as MSN... A shame.

I'm having the same problem. Same error message. I'm not getting the error with some sites, but most. I uninstalled the last Windows update and restarted, but it didn't help. Have no problem with sharing when searching google or bing for news websites and sharing the articles directly. Must be an MSN homepage problem.
