Desktop Windows Manager (DWM) memory leakage in Windows 10 (Version 2004).

The infamous dwm.exe hogging lots of memory. FYI this is not a specific program issue. It just happens with any programs, activities randomly.

I'm getting really tired of killing dwm.exe every so often so that it will release the occupied memory. When is this going to be fixed? Is this ever going to be fixed even?

    Yes, you can, as long as you have an official image to create a bootable USB with Windows 11.

    Actually this method has a disadvantage: if you have a lot of software, plug-ins, etc. installed, you will have to download everything all over again.

    But, there is no choice here, either suffer from bugs with Windows 10 or put a clean Windows 11, thereby getting rid of unnecessary drivers, files, and a lot of bugs that were present before.

    Hi, instead of upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11, can I use the USB that contain the Windows 11's installer image?

    the problem in win 11 has actually disappeared if you install the OS from scratch rather than upgrading from win 10

    for those interested:

    if you upgrade from windows 10 to windows 11 all problems from 10 will go to 11, so install windows 11 from scratch.
