Will Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 support multiple monitors?

For example, one monitor for instruments, another for front view, one for left, and one for right?

This is opposed to one view being spread over two monitors.

You can span the display using Nvidia's Surround, which is part of the Nvidia control panel. 

There is something similar to this if you are using an AMD video card.

At present, FS2020 DOES NOT allow you to open new additional windows for separate instruments, views, etc., like it did in FSX.

Hopefully Microsoft will address this in the future, and make this benefit available, ... although I doubt it, because the software is designed to mainly run under an XBOX single window environment (using either a PC as in XBOX Beta for PC or on an XBOX console.)

I'm currently running FS2020 using three screens with a resolution of 5760 x 1200, and FS2020 runs fine across these three monitors which are in Nvidia's Surround (so it looks like one big, very wide screen monitor.) And this works great, EXCEPT it would be nice to be able to open up another window for just the instruments, like I could do under FSX. 

One of the trade-offs, of going with the much, much, much more advanced FS2020 software.

    Yes, but you have to do a few things to get it to work.

    First off, you need to run it under the Windows Compatibility function. (search - running legacy programs under windows 10 - compatibility function)

    Secondly, it is recommended that you run the program in a windowed format (not full screen.)

    Once, you set it up to run under the Win10 compatibility function, it should run just fine.

    I was using FSX, mainly because over the years, I had purchased a great deal of add-ons for the FSX program, and I really liked all of the features of FSX.

    For FS2020, its biggest 'attributes' are:

    a) the scenery and buildings graphics is outstanding (similar to what you would get if you added 3rd party scenery to FSX, such as Orbx, Mega Scenery Earth, etc.)

    b) outstanding aircraft cockpit detail - although not all of the aircrafts functions are available sometimes.

    c) very good flight dynamics - it appears to be much more realistic in terms of the actual flight dynamics, sound, icing, etc.

    But it has plenty of negatives as well, including:

    a) the lack of many of the great features of FSX, such as the ability to playback a flight and its data (instant playback), or record a flight, or slew,  .....

    Interesting. When I shut down FSX the undocked windows are not still open when I restart.  I am also trying to expand my system to use multiple monitors. I have two running off one Nvidia card. What kind of system are you using that supports five monitors?

    It shouldn't. When I was using FSX, and I had multiple windows opened up on five different monitors, when I shut down FSX I left those undocked windows opened. The next time I launched FSX, those windows were still there, only small (you have to drag the corner to expand to the size you want.) 

    So if you shut down FSX with some additional undocked windows left open, then they should re-appear again, the next time you use FSX.
