Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems / Clarification

Hi,

I have been struggling with getting MSFS 2020 to install!

Pre-Purchased the Premium Deluxe Edition and i have a Windows 10 PC - and so far all attempts have failed at some point over the last 12 hours of trying.

First question - what is the order of installation that should be performed from the Microsoft Store across the items that are listed there in two parts:

  1. Manage - with just one entry "Microsoft Flight Simulator: Premium Deluxe" and
  2. Bundle Contents - that lists four sub-parts

2.1 "Microsoft Flight Simulator"

2.2 "Flight Simulator Deluxe Upgrade"

2.3 "Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe Upgrade"

2.4 "Digital Ownership"

Is there a particular order or hierarchy that these need to be installed?

i.e. do each of the sub-parts of point 2 above need to be installed individually and prior to the first part (i.e. point 1), or does installing the first (Managed) install all the others?

So far the downloads have been erratic, and i installed the first part and then launched it, it started up and then froze, and then crashed on restart. When trying to install the sub-parts, the computer just site there with "working" displayed on the sub-part line.

This is really frustrating!

Anyone able to provide some guidance or point to a set of instructions on how to get MSFS2020 installed?

    I hope there will be a solution soon. 

    But what I don't understand, 

    I have Xplane, gta 5 and some games for my daughters... All of those just download, install, press play. No problem. But once it's Microsoft.... Trouble. I was so damn excited, and now I have it 4 days, not able to proper install... And so, not able to play... 

    I read that a windows reset might fix the MS Store, but will all my other games/ programs be lost?

    Epp... Me too, have problem.... Can NOT, download "MFS2020 Premium Deluxe" from Microsoft Store. Problem Code:0x80070005.

    There is still one problem, I tried to get the money back, I spent two days on it. It seems to me that a refund is not possible .... I don't really want to buy the game again on other platforms (other Stores) for 120 $

    I am fighting the black screen problem.  No matter what I have tried the game launches into a black screen with no movement - tried administrator, virus/firewall on/off/, uninstall/reinstall (all multiple times), changing screen resolution,  standing in a container of water while patting head and waving...... all to no avail.  Eventually went for a clean Win 10 install with Nvidia drivers and Windows update - it worked!!  However....  had to shut the computer down and on restart back to the black screen.  Another fresh install but no luck this time, black screen every time.

    Have to agree with the negative comments about the software, a decent financial outlay for nothing but grief.

    I too am having this problem... I can download the small part from the Microsoft Store, But then when I click "Play" or even try to run it from the start menu, I get the black screen as well... It just doesn't want to install.  I have the premier Deluxe version. Windows 10 Pro with 32gb Ram on an Nvidia 2080 RTX.  Installed all on an AMD 2700x and a 2tb M.2 SSD drive with 1.8TB free space.. Has anyone gotten past this black screen problem???

    I  bought the super deluxe version and first, it became a mess. After 48 hours of downloading the game, the window quit and when I tried to come back it just stuck as everyone else.  At the Microsoft store the game button said play instead of install but when I made double click nothing happens. 

    I have to uninstall whatever the game installed and now when I tried to start downloading it again it appears a window that say...  try again later.... something happened on our end. And this has been all day long.

    I will suggest the ship the game, as in the old days. I don't want to think of going through this process again every time I buy a new machine.  Another way they should have to manage the issues could have been to send everyone a link with a schedules download option and by doing this guarantee that the server just don't get stuck. It seems as if they were new on the business and no news nor information has been sent to our mail, to apologizing and giving further information.
