Here I was thinking you were a registry wizard :D I just looked quickly at the article, but again, it states: Defer Feature and Quality Updates in Windows 10 Version 2004 with a Registry Tweak. I'm using 1909, so don't think it applies. Either way, that folder is still missing. Live and Learn. The plot thickens: I just read the article again and the author writes: There are also the appropriate Registry tweaks behind these Policy options. As Windows 10 Home doesn't include gpedit.msc , Windows 10 Home **users may try to apply them in order to defer the updates.**However, I was not able to test these options in Windows 10 version 2004 Home. it's up to you if you want to use Windows 10 Version 1909. As a reminder, Windows 10 Version 1903 support ends until December 8, 2020 for Home and Pro Editions. and Windows 10 Version 1909 support ends until May 11, 2021 for Home and Pro Editions. If I could get the recent update working properly I have no problem using it. It's just so broken. I did not choose 1909. When I uninstalled the latest version, that is now what shows I'm using. I didn't choose it. Thanks for all your help.

sorry i don't know about that. In fact, I rarely open and edit the Windows Registry. (If needed only if I want to open the Windows Registry). Whoa.... Wait a Minute, Hold Up.... "you don't know?" Where did you get all that registry information you posted about????? Guess I screwed the pooch on this one. OMG, how many people tried to use that fix? Not blaming you Reno... I blame myself for even looking in registry, but as I said, I did not change anything! I wasn't even in Administrative Mode when looking. That folder just disappeared. In web searching, the fix is so utterly technical and way out of the realm of my ability. What's odd is, I looked at windows update again and it now lets me add extra days for the update from the drop down menu. Every day it seems to add a couple of days that I can change the update to. Now I'm thinking--. when I do get the update, and the UPDATE FOLDER IS MISSING... then what???? Oh Lawd. If anyone has answer, please let me know!! thanks. SMH
