2020-09-16T23:00:29+00:00 I've followed the advice from techbout and updated the drivers. Hopefully this will solve the repeated shutdown of my WiFi, present only from the most recent failed update ( WE CAN'T LOG YOU INTO YOUR ACCOUNT ) of Windows muck. They can however log me into my account so I can spend money in their shop... All the way to the checkout, which is when I back out.

I really hope the update of your drivers will help! Let us know if indeed it fixed the repeated shutdown. It may help others.
After I got the forced update, I needed to install new graphic drivers. Then when I uninstalled the update, had to get new drivers again. It's maddening. When I'm forced to get the update once again in October, I'm assuming I'll need to rinse, lather, repeat with the drivers.
Where can't you log into your account?? You have me laughing..... " all the way to the checkout, which is when I back out."
Good Luck.

2020-09-16T20:37:22+00:00 So the issue with my wifi connecting and disconnecting, which I believe is related to the last update I can't get rid of, will presumably get fixed in another update which is launched to deal with all the problems with previous updates.
Again, that is a million dollar question. Who knows what will be fixed or not.
Personally, I don't use wifi for computer, only my printer, so I don't have a good solution for you. I'm sure you've run the troubleshooter, unplugged your router, checked for new drivers, blah blah blah.
I'm posting a website for you to check out. MAYBE doing one or more things mentioned will help you. Use at your own risk I reckon. Your carrier may be able to help after explaining the problem to them. They may have an easy fix before trying anything else.

I lost my ethernet connection again about 20 minutes ago. Ran the windows troubleshooter and fixed the problem. It's getting past ridiculous all these problems. Good luck rivers! Sorry I can't be of more help.

2020-09-16T20:19:15+00:00 I've got an HP laptop and I've found their website really helpful (which is a nice surprise!) It can determine which laptop you have if you don't have that information to hand and then can see what drivers issues/etc there are - hope that helps :) https://support.hp.com/us-en
