I'm having a similar issue. My Start Button (and everything that works off it, which includes the action centre) stops working after this is installed. I've tested and it's definitely KB4571756 because uninstalling it fixes the problem. It also caused ASUS Armory Crate to fall over (error in cdp.dll - says the file is incompatible with windows); I hoped uninstalling that would solve the issue, but it didn't.
Windows 10 Pro (64 bit)
Version 2004
OS build 19041.450
Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0
For the moment I've paused updates for 7 days.
P.S. I've checked and the Service Stack Update installed with no problems.
thanks for this.
I' trying to also uninstall mine.... hope it works... no matter what i did, some of the suggestions are not working. uninstalling now....

2020-09-13T01:03:34+00:00 Wynn, my restore points were missing as well. I had to go into admin (shell) using services.msc and reactivate "Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider ".
Usted me dice un idioma extranjero!!!!! (not my first or even second language.)
Thanks once again, but I believe I'm better off leaving it alone since I have no clue what I'm doing. :D -( an admitted computer duffer.)
I am mentally drained looking up fixes to all this nonsense. I figure come October 11 or so, when the forced updates are thrust upon me once again, this won't make a bit of difference. TY for your time as always. I'm going to shut this down for tonight and go watch racing.

2020-09-12T22:35:29+00:00 Wynn, my restore points were missing as well. I had to go into admin (shell) using services.msc and reactivate "Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider ". After that you MUST enter SAFE MODE and system restore points will return. They are there but you will only see them doing this. SAFE MODE SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY WAY I WAS ABLE TO USE SYSTEM RESTORE AGAIN. Hope you are successful.

GREAT NEWS Miabear. More HOURS you've spent on this! pshhhhhh.
I remembered I did about 4 system restore points prior to the update. When I looked just now, ALL my restore points have been deleted!
It's getting past ridiculous. I'm glad you were successful anyway!!. Hope more people have the same outcome!
