I lost all my passwords on all my browsers

I lost all my passwords on all my browsers with the last Windows update. Every time I try to get support, I am directed to the spot to "save" passwords. They are still there allowing them to be saved. Each time I sign on to a site, I am asked if I want to save. I always say yes, but it still never saves. I had to change all my passwords and write them down because I didn't remember them because they were all saved before that update.  This is annoying, to say the least. Please, don't advise me on how to go into my browser settings and choose to save passwords. I know that. Everyone does.; It doesn't work!

I have been working on getting this fixed since the last update/ I got blocked out of my bank for attempting to use what I thought was my password. 

I wish to opt-out of Windows updates. They only serve to make PC users, annoyed!

    Hi all here we are Oct 14, 2020 I am going through the same problem with saved passwords. I used Firefox, Chrome, IE and Edge. Now with flash going away Dec. 31,  2020 I am forced to use Edge more. None of my browsers are saving any password and each time I sign go to a site with a saved password it shows me a blank  and I must type in again and save. I really do believe this was with Windows last update. I also am experiencing serve lag  I have deleted my cache  cookies/ data and temp internet files in all browsers and in my C drive. I have done a scan disc and a defrag nothing has worked.

    Dear Dee,

    You may simply sync on by clicking on the paused option appearing on the top of chrome browser.  Then log in from your account and now if you want to check your save passwords these will be appeared. Also these will be in working condition. so you don't need to write them on a page.

    Yes, that is true, except for myself and many others on here and around the web, since the May update, the sync does NOT SAVE.  Therefore, when you power down, and sometimes even intraday, the sync pauses and you are back to entering passwords again.  I wish it was that easy, but if you search the web, you can see that this is a problem for many people since May, that it is a gift that keeps on giving.  Well, at least I won't forget my passwords any time soon since I keep entering them as the sync pauses day after day.
