Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems

I have managed to get as far as the "Welcomem Set Your Experience" screen ==> Content Manager" that seems to keep restarting the download for "asobo-aircraft-b787-10-0.1.35.fspackage".

The download will sometimes get to around 30% and then reset back to start again, while other times it may only get to 7% or 12%.

Why is this happening?

My internet is reasonably stable with a consistent download bandwidth of between 30MBPS to 50MBPS.

Thanks!

When I first ordered my simulator from Amazon  I said I wanted a physical DVD . At that time  Microsoft said there would be no Xbox supply  until after this launch.

My order was July 23rd.    I paid the money   and on August 18th I got a message from Amazon my DOWNLOAD  was in the library.   I have refused to accept and its still there.

Hence now I have a problem  with the 10 DVD Set..   after 10th Disc it supposed to open the store and continue a further  80+ Gigs download including Launcher.  without this, according to the book  the files will not  open the Sim.

Still after several attempts since August,   I  am still  no further forward,  because on the 10th DVD  the store  opens,  but I am forced  into downloading  the digital  copy for XBOX  which I did not order.

I have tried dozens of times to get in touch with Microsoft, and I cant get through,  has any one any idea  what  can do for this,  I am just about up the wall.  I have been flying Simulators since 1998  the very first release from Microsoft,  never had any bother. This one I agree is a  total waste of £109. amazon wont refund. and £139 for a  Box Set of useless DVDs,  even after creating an account with Microsoft. Which is also compulsory for this Simulator.   stick with Xplane 11.

Thank you for the concise solution.  You'd think this information would allow the MSFS developers to fix the issue easily.

BTW - I am using this solution to update with version 1.8.3.0 released on September 17.  Come on Devs! This should have be fixed ages ago!

Hello, I have another problem after solving "asobo-aircraft-b787-10-0.1.35.fspackage" problem. The loop started from "Downloading asobo-airport-lemd-adolfo-suarez-0.1.21.fspackage..." now. I have been trying to download updates for 4 days. By the way, I formated my computer 2 times during these procedures. I believe Microsoft is giving privilege to some regions and somebodies.

I also have the same issue. My content manager starts downloading the 91Gb sized package well, and suddenly it stops around 77Gb left.

Whatever i try, the download dont start anymore. Reboot, CMD command tips, changing drive, all advices  are followed. My computer is on ethernet cable. If i open the windows taskmanager i only see spikes on internet traffic and hardly no activity on the harddisk.

Trying to install the flight sim now for 3 days....

Frustrating and certainly when your an aircraft licenced engineer........

    Please help us.....
