Windows 10 version 2004 "Your Device is not ready"

Any idea why this is? l am literally running a very modern £1600 PC with very modern hardware (approx 6 months old).

    Jose, You are smart man. I have updated 3 machines of my own so far -- 1 newer desktop, 1 older desktop & 1 laptop. None of them received the "Not Ready" message and all are working great with zero issues. So, I agree it is best to wait until third party drivers or whatever is blocking is cleared. That is the way it is intended to work.

    FYI my 10 years old Q9650 desktop machine is updating right now. My newer i5 and i7 desktops are both "not ready"

    Not a big deal for me, I prefer to wait until all will work fine

    I also would really like a different message than 'your computer is not ready'.

    Maybe then I could do something to make it ready.

    Or maybe the problem isn't me, but actually is 'we're rolling stuff out slowly and due to detected hardware conflicts which might occur on your system, we're holding back the update for now'

    The update assistant says there's no new updates by the way.

    If it could tell me what was causing it to not be ready I could work to solve it, if its software, I could remove it. If its hardware, I could remove it if its something I dont need.

    I have already removed all the ghost devices and still no change. If its something stupid like my onboard video or audio that I dont use, let me disable it and get the update.

    I think it's good for us. when microsoft is not ready it mostly says you are not ready so perhaps we will avoid a lots of glitches after that version being installed. let them be sure of all those conflict tsunamis before they put us is deep trouble for nothing!
