Whenever I boot up my laptop MSI dragon center and xbox (beta) would be pinned to the task bar. I had to unpin everytime I use my laptop. How do I put an end to this? Please help. Thanks

This solved the problem for me.
C:\Users(youruserhere)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\LayoutModification.xml
Looking for this line
CustomTaskbarLayoutCollection PinListPlacement="Replace"
I did a ctrl+f and searched "custom"
Found the lines with xbox app and dragon center app
Removed them and saved xml
Rebooted and they didnt show back up.

Oh thank you my friend! I was editing wrong users appdata. My bad.
I have two users and now I have removed those lines from each LayoutModification.xml and everything working as supposed now and I am happy
It continues to be the solution for me even with windows 11
Can you verify you are editing the correct file? maybe there is a copy in appdata/roaming or something that is the one being read? Or you may have edited one for the wrong user's appdata possibly?
Dragon Center keeps coming back anyway. How can this be a solution for you and not for me?
Maybe cause im running Win 11?
