After May 2020 update, my PC is becoming unstable, freeze, have boot and shut down problems, when start up task bar won’t load normally making the system useless piece of junk.

I feel your pain.  You will likely lose a month of your time trying to make Microsoft’s cr@p work like it should.  The big question is, why isn’t there ANY consequence for Microsoft?

What will happen to Microsoft if this update to 2004, like the update to 1909, deletes my personal files, defaults all my personal settings, and requires me to perform an extraordinary amount of personal services learning why Microsoft’s product no longer works and has become unsuitable for its purpose?

Exactly the same here John, I had NO problems at all when using the MCT to upgrade my Alienware 17.3 R-4 Laptop and afterwards,  it runs Great with the New 2004 update.

    Enjoy!...
