2020-06-19T09:03:12+00:00 Actually Edge Chromium works just fine. But Google has always been inundated with spyware. Still, that's a story for another time. Now the question becomes, since you don't want help fixing the problems your device is encountering and you just wish to complain why are you wasting our time?
Create your own Thread, mark it as a "Discussion Thread" and rave on to your heart's content. With luck, other unhappy users will find your Discussion Thread and will post many words agreeing with you and that will make you feel VERY happy and fulfilled.
In the meantime, the people who want to get their device working will post in this thread or will post their questions separately to help ensure that one of the many volunteers here will see it and respond that much more quickly.
OR you can start a blog about the Evils of Microsoft as you see it because the changes have upset you and you haven't bothered to keep informed on how the updates and upgrades work and how best to incorporate them into your system.
There's a lovely little app called "Tips" that I have found extremely helpful as we moved from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and 8 and, finally 10. It looks like this and really simplified the whole process for me:
Yes, you are right, you shouldn't have to look all over for fixes. But when I have a problem with a Third Party Program I tend to ask the maker why. In your case I would ask Google if there's a patch from them to help their browser work in Windows 10 Twenty Oh Four.
Just as I would ask the makers of Steam or iTunes or VLC or any of the Third Party software I DO find useful.

2020-06-16T19:28:37+00:00 Finally the 2004 update appeared in my Windows Update page in Settings. Installed in what felt like maybe 20 minutes, everything seems fine.

2020-06-16T14:21:34+00:00 Working on updates is stuck at 90%. Been 5 hours now and hasn't changed from 90%. What do I do now? It says not to turn off the pc.
With respect , be patient let it run and under No circumstances turn off your machine this update is around 4gb in size its big , so thats going to be alot of unpacking and installing in the background , walk away from the machine let it doe its thing , and as we say in the uk "a watched pot never boils"
