Download a file to a particular drive

I usually d/l on my data disk, drive H. Recently, for some reason I cannot now. I using Utorrent. When I do, an error shows up: "Error: The system cannot find the path specified (WriteToDisk)." Excuse me??? I have enough space on my drive. I am forced to use another drive, drive G; but this drive is skating on thin ice as far as space is concerned.  The drives I wanted to d/led the file is 2.3Gbs; the space on the drive is 14.5Gbs. Do you think Microsoft update in May could have caused it? On the same token wouldn't it affected drive C, which it didn't? What I did was d/l the file to Drive F (USB drive) and when done, transferred the file to drive H. In the process, a window appeared and told me I have to have special permission to transfer the file. Should I continue? I chose yes and it did. I went to my files and looked up the properties of the folder download in drive H. In the permission, every check box is checked expect FULL CONTROL and the property window is greyed out. I can't do anything to the window!!! Very frustrating... :-(  I am the administrator.

UPDATE:   I used: drive H alone and it started downloading. Any other folder won't.  NOTE: In drive H, there are 4 subdirectories. The last one was just administrated, the video file. In that folder, I looked into the properties. In the subtab, security, FULL CONTROL is allowed. It is still in relief though. The other 3 subdirectories DOES NOT allow FULL CONTROL, also in relief. Also, in 3 of the previous subdirectories of drive H, I checked in the Permission category and I cannot add nor remove any permission status; but the last subdirectory I can. Would someone please tell me what am I doing wrong???

    Greg?  We have a problem...

    Today is DEFINATELY NOT my day.  I thank you for the uTorrent article and I followed to the letter; nevertheless, it wouldn't work.  All four of the procedures found were not it.  The last procedure (Check The Destination Folder Properties) I checked and the most credible is the best one possible.  Still, I went to the property window of the download folder, I unchecked the "Read Only" attribute where I was sent to another window which read, "You will need to provide administrator permission to change these attributes."  The buttons below offered either "Continue" or "Cancel."  I chose the latter.  I changed the attribute for all of my download files.  Just to make sure, I wanted to check in the property window.  Sure enough, the Read-only" attribute was checked...  I went through the procedure to make sure I didn't leave anything out.  It happened again...  I know the meaning of insanity...  :-\  Maybe I can find the light at the end of the tunnel using a different procedure in my MoneyBackup program by the page you discussed.

    As I said before, I followed to the letter the instruction on the page you suggested.  At the end it came true; the menu in the right click of my mouse showed the option "Take Ownership."  I thought there is a light.  No?  NO!!!  It did not do anything.  I went to the folder (download) in my drive H, right clicked my mouse and clicked the "Take Ownership" option.  Guess what?  It didn't!...

    I GIVE UP!!!!!

    Not really; but is there anything else you might suggest I may use?

    BTW, should I restore my registry?  Also, I've been using Money from 2007 until now.  It worked beautifully until now!  Something else I wrong!!!

    It works fine.  The next day it continues as usual.  It just can't back up in the folder as required.  It does, however, in main directory of H (H:).

    David, I'm sorry but Microsoft Money no longer works for most people in Windows 10, even the store app. There are alternatives to try here:

    If you can still get it to work as some report then I would put the backup file wherever it works, for as long as Money can still work. There are tips to get it to work here:

    I'm not sure uTorrent is itself the problem, but some of the things it downloads are certainly harmful. So it's very important to scan all of it's downloads with Malwarebyes from https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ and AdwCleaner from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcle..., as well as scan the whole system with both of these regularly if you're going to torrent which seems to invite problems and threats.

    Greg?  I forgot.  I am using Microsoft Money and have been since 2007.  Six months earlier before dealings with uTorrent, something happened.  Naturally, I place my backup money file on drive H.  One particular evening my backup wouldn't load.  It told me I needed special permission to accept the file.  Again, I didn't change anything.  How could it be?  I was forced to place my backup on drive C.  It unnerved me; so I tried to move my backup to drive H without placing it to any folder.  It worked.  I then tried to move it to the original folder; it didn't work...  I'm forced to use my backup without any other folder on drive H.  That's not right.  Do you think uTorrent had something to do with it???
