hello

please I want to know how to switch back to s mode or know if with this mode my pc is exposed, venerable.

CAN YOU PLS PUT ME BACK IN S PLS

Hi there,

While you cannot return to S mode once you've switched out, many of S mode's protections can be enabled through the Windows Security app and settings. Please try enabling those protections whether your PC is currently in S mode or not.

    Hi Kendra,

    My name is Jocelyn, an independent advisor here to help.

    I understand that you would like to switch back to S mode but once you switch out of S-mode you cannot go back unless you will reinstall your Windows.

    However, in normal you can set your computer to only allow apps from the store to increase security and use Microsoft Edge for browsing to keep your computer safe.

    Here's how to allow your computer to only download from the Microsoft Store.

    Go to settings > apps > apps & features "choose where to get apps"

    Switching out of S mode is one-way. If you switch out of S mode, you'll need to keep using the standard version of Windows 10.

    Very interesting!  When I got my laptop first thing I did was to switch out of S mode.  That was 3 months ago.  Today spontaneously it is back in S mode.

    Hey Microsoft, please explain that!!!!

    It's not clear that "Get" switches out of S mode permanently.  Isn't there any way to go back immediately on a brand new computer?

    I was out of s mode when I developed malware on my device. An HP support adviser updated my BIOS which put me back into s mode.
