Have you tried opening the Device manager and see if there are any YELLOW triangles associated with the USB hub?
Might be as simple as updating the driver....

Bob.
Just tried using my thumb drive, actually three different thumb drives that have always worked before and not they are not recognized. Thanks for another messed up update. Just wonderful work Windows 10 Team
So how do I get my Thumb drives working again?
This never ends on windows 10. Every single update messes some thing up and requires much time to correct the problems. Last update my sound cards stopped working. Now its the thumb drives.
Is the windows 10 team really this messed up?
Please just stop the updates. or put back in place my ability to turn them off completely.
Maybe time to switch back to windows 7. I never had these problems with it.
Thanks for any help that will actually resolves this problem.
Walter.

I got this from Microsoft support.
Windows Logo + R
Type into search
services.msc
Press Enter
Scroll down to Windows Update and double click
In startup type select disabled
Click on stop under service status
Click apply and ok.

I think this might disable windows update. Which will be great
However, my thumb drives still do not work. Anyone have a fix for this?
Walter
