THIS MEANS NOTHING TO ME.  All may as well be in German for me.  It is why I won't touch that Feature Update anytime soon.  Let it sit there.

I have not been able to successfully install any Cumulative updates for the past few weeks now, and it's beginning to get ridiculous.

Tried all the suggests ways to fix the issue:

    DISM

    SFC

Deleted the contents of the Windows/SoftwareDistribution folder

    Ran the Update Troubleshooter

Even contacted Microsoft - when they gave up, they said they would email me.  NEVER happened.

They always download, take forever to get 20% installed, jump to 44% installed, then 100% installed, and then fail with error 0x800f081f.

I am not running any third party anti-virus, I am running defender.

I REALLY DO NOT want to re-install Windows.

I too am a retired Software Engineer, albeit from the Embedded System side, and can't fathom why your engineers can't tell me how to get my CUMULATIVE updates installing again!

    How about some help here?

    Bob.
