I received the Patch Tuesday releases today. KB4532693, KB4537759 and KB4538674 dropped in the first wave and all installed successfully. On a subsequent "Check for Updates" KB4524244 downloaded and installed but on the reboot, it rebooted the first time but froze hard on the second re-boot with Step 2 information and a frozen spinner on my screen, no keyboard or any access. After about 15 mins I finally forced the system down. On the reboot, my Secure Boot flagged me that the keys were corrupted. I was able to get those repaired and reboot into the system. I rebooted a couple more times but no updates attempted to install. On a third "Check for updates, the same (KB4524244) update attempted to download but freezes the system at 94% on the download. Again freezes hard requiring a hard re-set. I tried flushing the Software Distribution cache but get the same results.
FYI: I am running Windows defender with VBS (Credential Guard and Hypervisor enforced Code Integrity on an HP EliteDesk 705 G4 MT with a AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics. I also have a similar set up running on an HP laptop (Intel i5), but the update installed fine on it.

Well, here's what I've done. I removed the flash drive and the computer ordered me to put it back in. I did that and the message came that it was uninstalling which it did and now, thankfully, I'm back pre-update. I appreciate your swift reply and will ponder your suggestions but may wait until I return home to the U.S. where I can visit our trusty advisors at the Microsoft store.
Well really if it has run all night & is here .... Hold power button down for 20-30 seconds that will hard power down the 2 Pro & then "hope" the recovery mode kicks in and walks back. Uninstall the buggy kb as per this thread or block it, with this toll below ...
I've cancelled W10 upgrades stuck at 33% & had recovery roll it back, it's pretty good now.

I tried to load the update last night on my Surface Pro 2. After 2 tries stalled out, ran the troubleshooter which noted a problem and pronounced it fixed and to try again. Had to do that twice and the installation finally started. Then announcement that I needed extra space for update and I inserted flash drive. Then message that window would close in 2 minutes which it did. Then message "Working on updates 0 %, Don't turn off your PC. This will take a while. Your PC will restart several times." Now the computer has run all night and nothing has changed from 0%. I can't even turn off the Surface. Need advice on what to do. Flash drive is still inserted and is lit up.
All usb ports stopped working with Jan 2020 updates. All ports worked again after Feb 11 updates.
Now all ports stopped working again. Microsoft support person tried to help today Feb 19. No luck.
