How do I uninstall the Microsoft Edge "Update" on my computer? I accidentally installed it and I don't even use Microsoft Edge. I know I can't uninstall Microsoft Edge, but hopefully I can at least uninstall the Update. It really, really stinks Microsoft forces people to have Edge on their computer because it just takes up storage space, slows your computer down and the browser tracks your surfing history.

I had exactly the same problem.
So i downloaded revo uninstaller pro trial.
Got rid of edge, (and much more).
Then I went to windows firewall and blocked anything with edge.
Time will tell if it stays blocked - BUT I did enjoy pressing the delete button!
Almost, it is criminal; invasion of privacy and right to choose.
I completely and totally agree with you. This entire bully move by Microsoft is in total violation of our rights to privacy and our rights, as consumers to choose. It feels like rape to me and a download like that on my older Dell would likely crash it. Is Microsoft willing to pay for our computers when they crash? Is there a warranty that this download will not harm us or our data
computer systems or our data. Last time they downloaded this Edge Chrome, nothing worked right and it took a master technician, I had to pay, to straighten things out. Now the Techs are not even able to install the stupid thing. If you want to start a petition and, or start a master letter to the ICC or IC3, I'm with you 100% and I'll be many others, as well would sign it.
When I got the machine I'm using now (less than a year old), Microsoft had done something underhanded then too: I could not switch the default browser or search engine away from Edge and Bing. Took almost two hours on the phone with HP tech support to get it done.
This behavior by Microsoft is almost criminal going to this extent.
Thanks for the tip Martmcd. I found the Edge update totally unacceptable especially that I had no say in whether I wanted it or not. MS upper echelon seem to want to push stuff on us good or bad.
Imposing updates is not acceptable and especially this awful microsoft edge update! We, the owners of our computers and its systems should make the decision on updates or not. Microsoft is now dictator of what we should have? Then pay for my new only 6 month old Dell laptop, Microsoft!
In any event, uninstall seems to be a fake button at this point in time so I did a system restore. Sadly I'm unable to see what updates I might be missing in the interim plus the update delays will soon run out. I'm thinking maybe after all these years of Dell & Microsoft, it's time for a change.
