I recently came to know that the security patch KB4532693 leads to boot failures for several users as well as Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) crashes, so I've uninstalled it but it's prompting me to install it again.
I've also uninstalled KB4524244 for the same reason, will my system be vulnerable if I don't install them, did Microsoft resolved the issue?
Please let me know, thank you.
As stated above like many also, it is imperative to install #KB4497165 prior to #KB4532693, but in your case reinstall #KB4524244 then followed by #KB4497165 and onto #KB4532693.

But to answer your question yes to the point if you or anyone else that might make a mistake on clicking something that is malicious or using malicious software. No if you don't do anything crazy downloading and using unknown apps / code.
