I am unable to access selected shared material. Whenever I follow the link I am brought to this page asking me to enter an MFA code which I am not receiving anywhere

Carolyne 1,151 Reputation points Microsoft Employee2026-03-18T13:53:46.3266667+00:00 It seems that your account isn’t correctly registered with Microsoft Authenticator (or notifications/codes are blocked), so the approval or TOTP never appears. This commonly happens with external/guest access or incomplete Authenticator setup.
To fix this open Microsoft Authenticator and ensure the correct account is added and active, notifications are enabled, and the device time is set automatically; if it still fails, ask the content owner or their IT admin to reset your MFA/security info or resend the share so you can re‑register Authenticator.
