My anti virus software threw up the following:

We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since web pages must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk.

When it's fixed my Bitdefender will quit blocking it. Apparently it's a useless Microsoft file that is not needed or my computer would malfunction with it blocked. If your getting pop-ups, maybe get an anti-virus software like Bitdefender that works in the background without all of the annoying pop-ups.
My antivirus has also been blocking this outdated certificate using microsoft egde browser for a while now. So when microsoft says they will fix promptly i like to know how long does promptly mean to them, months/years? Now i know why i stopped using this browser, i either use Firefox or Chrome browser. Please microsoft fix this already so everyone can trust your browser?
Lol I have been getting this message for the past 6 - 10 months so as far as I'm concerned the certificate expiring on 6 Nov is a farce. Bitdefender and Trojan Killer have been blocking this action for a very long time on all my computers.
But why is Microsoft using an outdated site certificate and asking us to ignore the risk to security presented, which would make the certificate system meaningless on a broad scale. Are they overworked? indifferent? or brewing the notion that everything Microsoft is supposed to be accepted?

I have had the same problem. If it takes Microsoft months to fix the issue then time to use another browser (Firefox) that doesn't try to link over to this expired site. The bigger question is why does the browser even try to pull up the site in the first place.
Exactly. Actually, I use Firefox as default browser and only know of this connection attempt by Edge in the background by reading my Bitdefender notifications. I don't get many, but it seems all critical ones, at least in the past year, refer to this errant MicrosoftEdge.exe attempt to connect to a Microsoft site with an outdated certificate.
I don't really expect there will be any development or explanation, a characteristic of the company, it seems.

As stated in the message, the website certificate has expired (on November 6) so your browser blocked the connection.
You may ignore this message and this misconfiguration will probably be fixed by microsoft promptly.
Hey Jimmy. I've been getting this message for over 3 months now and its still happening. So when will Microsoft fix it?? Its alright to say just ignore it but it needs to be fixed so it doesn't keep happening.
