Cannot see MY computer in the network but can see others.

I have windows 10 - updated with the latest software.

Network adapter drivers are the latest.

I am connected via eithernet or Wifi and have the SAME issue.

I enabled the settings to allow network discovery and to be seen on the network for private networks.

Both Wifi and Ethernet are private newtorks and say that in the status.

I have 3 computers connected.  All are windows 10.

On each PC I see the same 2.

On the PC that I cannot see on the network I can only see the other 2 and I cannot see myself.

Why am I not able to see myself on the network?  If I solve that I will surely be able to be seen by the other 2 PC in the netwotk.

Thanks

None of the Microsoft recommended fixes on the internet fix the issue I have had for months.

One of my network computers with Win 10 Pro only shows itself on the Network after resetting the Network but after the next reboot it disappears again. It always shows up under Quick Access if I click on the shortcut I saved.

My other two computers on my Home Network never have this problem. One is a Windows 7 Pro and the other is Win 10 Home.

This is very frustrating that Microsoft never fixes this problem after months and months.

It's an option on windows that RESETS all the network adapters and all the network settings.

My problema was exactly what as described... MY Computer did not show up on the network connections on EXPLORER (i could see the other computers on the network!)

It worked... BUT, after a new login, MY computer was gone again!

    Still investigating this...

John, everything possible is covered in those steps.

If you're not wanting to share files then may I ask what the exact need is to see the PC as there may be additional steps pertaining to that I can find for you. Otherwise everything possible that has worked for thousands of others is compiled in that list. But there are still many for which nothing works.

If you want to report this to Microsoft use the Feedback Hub app in Start Menu where developers are tasked to process consumer feedback. They will not even see it here. This is a tech forums staffed mostly by volunteers trying to help others with your problems.

If you want to post back a Share link from your Feedback here others who see this thread can vote it up and add to it. If you are an Insider I can also vote it up with my MVP badge and track the issue for you.

The fixes are the same. They've broken networking in Windows 10 after removing HomeGroups, so there may be no solution. I gave you everything possible to get another device discovered:
